Cans Film Festival

Well...I have never been to a Cans film festival before, this is my first year at Menahga and I was impressed. I think its really clever and alot of fun. The Simple Life by nikki and I didnt exactly turn out like we expected, who knows what happened to the sound, but I enjoyed the movies alot. My favorite had to be Billy's for sure. I give you credit for going down a slide on a shopping cart you freak! hehehe. And Brady & Autumns was, of course, very very good. All in all it was a good experience and I guess now I know how much time and effort goes into making a movie, even a 5 minute one takes time!

Someone with a common interest

Ever since I was three years old, my passion has been to DANCE. I started out in simple ballet and tap classes at Starz Dance Studio. I continued dancing there and when I was six I started to take jazz and lyrical classes. Then in seventh grade, after 8 years of dancing for Starz, I switched to go dance at Metro Dance and it was there where I was introduced to competition and pointe dance. Dance took up all of my spare time and it was something that meant alot to me. Every week it was either morning or night practice and every weekend was competition and recitals. I had always wanted to dance pointe, but I couldn't start until 8th grade because my ankles werent strong enough. This was a huge stuggle for me and it took forever for my feet to get used to pointe. I remember coming home and having to soak my feet in the tub because they were constantly bleeding. I never really knew why I went through that much pain just to dance, but i loved it! I also started teaching dance to little girls and its very rewarding...Makes me think back to when I was just starting to dance. Anyway. I found someone who has a blog talking about the pain and physical demands of pointe and I give these girls lots of credit! Some say dance isnt a sport, but you never know until you do it yourself!!! :) Click HERE to check out her page.

Hmmm...Im not quite sure what I want to do my podcast on yet. I was thinking something about relationships or manners. Or could I maybe somehow tie the two together about manners or respect in relationships?????

Future

Ok...So every senior knows we only have 16 days left of school. Yay! But seriously, thats scary! What are we all going to do after we graduate? I don't know about the rest of you, but I am moving to the cities and unfortunatly, I have to work all summer long! Im going back to dominate at Applebees and then in the fall its back to school. :( I am going to college in White Bear Lake at Century to be a dental hygienist. Then after a year there, im transferring to either the U of M or Bethel. Its exciting to be graduating, finally. But then again, how am I going to survive on my own? What is everybody else doing after we graduate???

HeY

I dont know what I'm doing....but write to me! :)
